It's possible that it never occurred to you that electric toothbrush covers and chargers needed to be cleaned. They do! While electric toothbrush holders are a slightly different animal, they're still relatively easy to care for.
You’ll need:
- Hot water
- Dishwashing liquid
- Microfiber cloths
- Distilled white vinegar
- A large bowl
- A hair dryer
Step-by-Step Instructions

1Step 1Unplug
Unplug any charging bases.

2Step 2Mix dishwashing liquid with hot water
Mix a few drops of dishwashing liquid with the hot water.

3Step 3Wipe down
Dampen a microfiber cloth with the soapy water, and wipe down the sides of the equipment.
Use another damp microfiber cloth — no soap this time, just water — to remove any remaining suds or detergent residue.

4Step 4Combine one part vinegar and water
In the bowl, combine one part vinegar and one part water.

5Step 5Soak
Place your electric toothbrush cover in the vinegar solution. Let this soak for 15 to 30 minutes.

6Step 6Rinse
Remove the toothbrush covers and rinse under running water.

7Step 7Dry
Set the hair dryer to low, and use this to dry the inside of the covers.
Wait until everything is has dried completely before plugging the equipment back in.
